Bayrampaşa Rotary’s “4 Schools 40 Students” Project yields fruit

Anadolu Medical Centre’s Exhibition Hall is proud to be hosting the beautiful and striking photographs of 40 students. Photography Clubs were established in 4 high schools in scope of the “4 Schools, 40 Students” project organised by Bayrampaşa and Brighton Rotary Clubs where talented teenagers were trained by professional photographers.

 

 

... June 2009 – Istanbul, A Provider of international standard medical services in Turkey, Anadolu Medical Centre (AMC) continues its efforts to support a number of artistic events. Always aiming to host new organisations, Anadolu Medical Centre is currently accommodating a mixed photography exhibition in scope of the “4 Schools, 40 Students” project organised in cooperation between Bayrampaşa Rotary Club and Brighton Rotary Club. All art enthusiasts are invited.

 

The exhibit, open to all visitors at AMC exhibition hall, is comprised of a wide range of photographs reflecting the different perspectives and angles of talented high school students. After special evaluation, the best three photographs were chosen and AMC Corporate Services and Communications Director Semra Baysan awarded the young artists at the exhibition opening ceremony. Governor Ömer Kuran and project supporter Brighton Rotary club Member Peter Schwarz each made a speech at the same ceremony.

 

Photography Clubs at High Schools

 

Initially, photography clubs were established at 4 high Schools in Istanbul (Haydarpasa High School, Rotary 100. Yıl Anatolian High School, Ziya Kalkavan Anatolian Maritime Vocational High School and ve Nişantaşı Nuri Akın Anatolian High School) in scope of the “4 Schools, 40 Students” project developed in cooperation between Bayrampaşa Rotary Club and Brighton Rotary Club. As part of the project, Bayrampaşa Rotary Club also organised the donation of 40 digital cameras, four LCD projectors, four computers installed with professional image editing software and four colour printers, which were distributed equally amongst the four schools. Bayrampaşa Rotary Club also organised for 40 students (aged between 15 and 18) from these schools to be trained by professional photograph artists during the month of May.

Expressing her satisfaction in supporting the “4 Schools, 40 Students” project, AMC Corporate Services and Communications Director Semra Baysan said: “As an institution devoted to investing in the future of the medical sector we are proud to support projects of this nature. Such initiatives are fundamental in guiding the younger generation towards getting involved in the arts. The exhibit located in our exhibition hall is open to the public as of 13 June. We congratulate these talented young photographers and Bayrampaşa Rotary Club who brought this project to life.”
